About Dan

I’ve had a love of all things car since a young age, which grew over the years to include modifying and upgrading, and escalated into what it is today with all of the modifications, repairs and upgrades I have performed on my own cars, friends cars, and now customer cars.

This love of modification and upgrading has resulted in me becoming a long time competitor at Summernats, qualifying for the finals in the Burnout competition many times over the years, a few 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the Go-to-Woah! along with some placings in Grass events,  and generally enjoying the atmosphere and personalities that the event offers

Participating in the Go-to-Woah! sparked an interest in drag racing, which quickly became a passion of mine. Started out with a 1977 Chrysler KC Centura, naturally aspirated 5.7 LS1 mated to aT56 manual, I managed to run a best time of 11.8 in the 115mph range and earned a 4th place in the DYO class at Street Machine Drag Challenge in 2016. No happy with this I decided that it was time to get serious in the way of forced induction. Heading back for another crack in 2019 I earned a 3rd place in the 235 blown tyre class, running a week of low 9 second passes all week, best of 9.2 @ 146mph, and a high 5 in the 1/8 mile.

I am currently working on building an RA28 2JZ Celica to get on the road for a future drag challenge and Summernats duties.

I have the tools, equipment, and knowledge to tackle mostly all of the modifications or upgrades you could think of. I have a full machine shop complete with CNC Laser and Routing capabilities, (Fiber laser full size machine capable of up to 10mm mild steel, and 3mm Stainless, CNC router for all kinds of subtractive aluminum/plastics and wood creations) and once your part is machined, I will have no problem welding it wherever it needs to go with some TIG or MIG welding (alloy/stainless/mild steel).  I can also facilitate all manner of engine modifications and upgrades, whether it’s a new intake or exhaust. Maybe you would like to convert from carburettor to EFI, or maybe you would like to swap an LS 6.0L into your Mazda RX8.

I love bringing old projects or unfinished projects back to life for customers so they can be driven and enjoyed, many of which have stalled just due to lack of time, or hitting a hurdle that they do not have the tools and equipment to get the job completed correctly, maybe you are 80% ready for dyno tune day and need some guidance and some pre-checks done to make the day go as smooth as possible.
